About This Webinar:

Tune in for a special ethics CLE* session featuring Kristin Dittus, J.D., LL.M., of Life & Legacy Planning, Ltd.!

Billing clients shouldn’t feel like walking through an ethical minefield, but it can when the representation goes in an unexpected direction.

During this webinar, we’ll cover how to draft an engagement letter that clearly defines the work and time covered by a flat fee agreement and how to collect your hourly rate for time that exceeds the originally defined work. You’ll learn how to:

  • Mitigate the most common billing conflicts before they escalate
  • Gently hold clients accountable while keeping the relationship intact
  • Decode the recently adopted regulations that allow attorneys to pass on a credit card surcharge fee and the compliance rules

Plus, the materials for this session include sample language and sanity-saving strategies to keep you happy and profitable, even when you encounter a difficult situation.
